Birdie Birthday

I wanted to participate in Denise's challenge at Stamping Vacation this week. It seems like awhile since I entered her challenge on Monday's. This has been a very busy month and it isn't over yet. I have enjoyed sharing comments and emails with Denise. She has a very interesting blog, her posts keep you thinking, and I think I have mentioned her challenge was the first challenge I won.
These were kind of hard colors for me to work with, but I have wanted to use this little bird stamp for awhile and this is the card that came together. As I sit here posting and looking at the picture I should have punched holes around the scallops on the oval to tie it more together, but again I'm not the do over girl. I bet my birthday recipient will like it anyway.

3 Challenges:
Supplies: Card cut 5" X 11" folded in half-crushed curry-StampinUp, all papers are Stampin Up, ribbon-Hobby Lobby, Ink: VersaMard Ink Pad, CTMH-Z2111 Chocolate, Jo-Ann's Clear embossing powder, Stamps: Inkadinkado-97625 Birds Galore, MFT Stamps-You Take The Cake, Fiskars-Threading Water border punch, EK Success-sm. corner rounder, Stampin Up-Sizzix texture plate-Eyelet, Fiskars shape template-Ovals 1, Spellbinders Nestabilities S4 111 Classic Scallop Oval Lg. , Prima Flowers-Hobby Lobby, Stampin Up-brads from Pretties Kit, pop dots.

Trick or Treat 4 Circles

Autumn Greetings

When this publishes my pictures will be one on top of the other, I still have not figured out how to put them side by side.
This card is only for 1 Challenge, but, since I love the autumn months best, I think this card is a pretty thing.
I'm still working that Debbie Mumm Harvest & Holiday stack I got last year at Jo-Ann's, and you're fixing to start seeing some Christmas cards made out of that stack next. All these companies really know how to work us tool collectors. I have the Spellbinders Nestabilities Label One set, which we all know we love the nesting thing going on, but then Stampin Up came out with the Bigz Top Note die and the curly label punch. Wouldn't you know that you just have to have those also because they all work together so well. Then, used the Lg. Bright Blessings wheel on this card also. I bought some wheels a few years ago, but didn't really learn how to use them and the ink cartiridges that go with them, my loss, because now that I have caught on Stampin Up doesn't have as many neat wheels as they used to. And finally, I have to say I just love Inkadinkado stamps, this tree is one of my favorites, it always makes me think of Winnie the Pooh saying, "It's a blustery day".

1 Challenges:
Supplies: Card Blank Ivory 5" X 6 1/2" Value Pack Hobby Lobby, brown, cream, tan card stock my stash, Debbie Mumm Harvest & Holiday stack-Jo-Ann's, Stampin Up: Lg. Wheel-Bright Blessings, Ink: Stampin Up-Bravo Burgandy, CTMH-goldrush, VersaMark Ink Pad, CTMH marker-goldrush, Jo-Ann's clear embossing powder, Stamps: Inkadinkado-98549 Autumn Foliage, 97513 Fall Season, Colorbok-metal dots, Spellbinders Nestabilities-Label One, Stampin Up: curly label punch, Bigz Top Note die, pop dots.

R & B Birthday

I've managed to squeeze 2 cards in today! I'm still practicing with my photo lighting box. My background paper is black with silver guitars on it, but in the picture they look gold, again, my word. This is the first time I have participated at artful inkables
they are challenging us to use red, black, and white, of course, I had to throw some silver in, a little bit of bling never hurt and what would rock and roll be without some bling?

3 Challenges:
Supplies: Card Blank 5" X 7" White Value Pack Hobby Lobby, silver guitar back ground paper-DCWV Rock Guitars Silver Foil, red & black card stock my stash, Stampin Up-Whisper White, Cuttlebug embossing folder-Allegro, Stamps: Inkadinkado-98693 Rock Star, Clearly Wordsworth-V026 Tiny Wise Words, Stampology-AL2745 Light The Candles, Ink: VersaMark Ink Pad, Ranger Archival Ink: Jet Black, CTMH marker-cranberry, Sharpie Poster Paint Pen-silver, gold sticker dots, Hot Off The Press-Music Note brads, Hot Off The Press-silver dazzle sticker, silver cord-Hobby Lobby, Stampin Up punches-ticket punch, oblong label punch, black pop dots.

Summer Time!

Wow Whew--I have to start off this post with clapping myself--Samantha over at SP Color Combos found my blog last week and invited me over to her challenge blog, sooo, I just had to enter and low and behold I got picked as one of the top 10 winners. Thanks-Samantha! Will add my blinkie prize latter this evening.
Now on to my a summer time card. These are challenges and for some reason I've had a hard time coming up with some cute summer time cards, but today, after much contemplation, I think it's kind of cute. On top of the outside cuteness, the little ditty on the inside I made up, so I signed my name to it. I just love this set of stamps from Stampin Up I find myself using them quite a bit, very versatile. These challenges have also been very good for me because it has caused me to really get into allll my stash and do some organizing and reorganizing and actually use some things I've been hoarding, but we all know that will only make room for more new stuff, birthday and Christmas on the way. I'm practicing with my anniversary photo box, these are my 2nd and 3rd photos, hope to improve with time.

4 Challenges:
Supplies: Card Blank: Yellow 5 1/4" X 7 1/4"-The Paper Co. Value Pack Hobby Lobby, white textured card stock, yellow card stock, back ground paper-Paper Symphony Crafters Block II-Seasons and Holidays, Stamps: Stampin Up-Stardust, Ink: CTMH-Z2162 Honey, CTMH marker-sunny yellow, ribbon-Hobby Lobby, printed my poem in Printmaster 11, pop dots.

Hanging Treat Box

I made it back into my card room today in short bursts, looks like that's the way it's going to be for the whole month of August.
Today I have my project for Project Tuesday, I have really enjoyed doing the challenges the girls over there have set for all of us. This one, I have had to think on because I wanted it to be completely different.
Also, this is my first photo using my new table top photo studio. I think it turned out pretty good. I can get better close ups that's for sure.
2 Challenges:

Harvest Pickup

Today I used the sketch at Card Patterns as a starting point.
A couple of quick shout outs--Samatha at sp color combos visited my blog and left me a really nice comment on one of my cards and invited me over to her relatively new challenge blog, she's on #10. I love challenges as you all know by now and I had not found her site, so I'm glad she found me. She's got a really neat thing going on, check it out on Mondays and Fridays.
The next shout out is to my friend Linda, she's my new Stampin Up Rep, so I'm finally accumulating some Stampin Up supplies and will have the right colors to go along with a lot of these challenges I find.
3 Challenges:
Supplies: Card Blank 5 1/2" X 4" Natural Color Value Pack Hobby Lobby, Stampin Up-pumpkin pie card stock, pale purple from my scrap stash, Stamps: Stampin Up-Eat, Drink, & Be Scary, Loads of Love Accessories, Loads of Love, Sweet & Sassy Words, Inks: VersaMark Ink Pad, Stampin Up-Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry, CTMH markers: orange, garden green, petal, chocolate, desert sand, sorbet, taffy, Marvy Le Plume II-pale orange, rosewood, Ellison-texture plate Weave #2, CTMH-Z654 Goldrush embossing powder, American Crafts Specialty Ribbon-Hobby Lobby, Cuttlebug tag die, pop dot.

Pink Hearts & Flower

I figured this was going to happen. It's late at night or early in the morning, the lighting is off. The base card looks kind of peachy, so you'll have to take my word again it's all soft pinks. My wonderful hubby has surprised me with an early anniversary present coming early next week, it's one of those table top lighting do hickeys, you can tell how technically inclined I am. He's always supported all my hobbies and business ventures with a special caring even when he hasn't given a hoot about what I was doing. All that said, I should quit having all these funky lighting issues.
3 Challenges:
Supplies: Card Blank 4 1/2" X 5 1/2" pink card stock, patterned paper-My Minds Eye Designer paper pad, Stamp: Stampin Up-Merci, All Night Media-Dot pattern, 3 sm. brad buttons, 1 sm. flower brad, Ink: CTMH-Hollyhock, VersaMark Ink Pad, ribbon-Hobby Lobby, glue dots.

Flutterby

Good morning, Tuesday! This morning you need to hop over to dannisdreamscrafts , Harriet has challenged us to send some butterflies to a wonderful project that is going on. Check out this link at http://craftcritique.com for all the instructions on participating, you won't be sorry.
My contribution will be these 6 butterflies. However, I liked them so much when I mounted them on this piece of card stock to take their picture I decided to make another set and I'm going to frame it and hang it somewhere in my house.
They are made with the Cuttlebug cut and emboss Butterflies, the die and embossing folders come in one set, love that, papers are from my scrap stash, and after I cut and embossed them I rubbed some Metallic Rub-On from Craf-T Products, Inc. There are 4 sets of them in a variety of lushious colors and are perfect for highlighting embossed projects.
I hope lots of you will take part in this special project.

Flip-Flop or Swing!

I'd be happier with this card if I had been smarter on the colors I used to stamp and emboss the cake. I've hit 5 challenges with this one, wish it would fit in with the pile it on challenge, but they want no patterned paper, so I'll have to see what I can come up with tomorrow.

Autumn Splendor

You wouldn't think you'd lose your creative juices from Thursday to Monday. I've had a hard time getting going today after this weekend.
We had a great hamburger-hot dog bash, and now it turns out the month of August at our house is going to be party central, we've become very popular.
This card is for 1 Challenge:
I used Mercy's sketch, then I went on to brayer some ivory card stock, copper emboss the swirling leaves, the leaf in the corner was some dye inks I blew on photo paper then black stamped the leaf, the strips are some more of Debbie Mumm's paper, and the dark green metallic paper you can't see how yummy that is unless in person.

Supplies: Card Blank Ivory 5" X 61/2" Value Pack Hobby Lobby, Wausau Metallic Cardstock-Empress Emerald, Stampin Up-Very Vanilla cardstock, photo paper, dye inks, sm. copper heart brad, Debbie Mumm Harvest & Holiday-J0-Ann's, Stamps: Inkadinkado-97513 Fall Season, CTMH-D1181 Autumn Splendor, Inks: Kaleidacolor-Autumn Leaves, CTMH-Z2111 Chaocolate, VersaMark Ink Pad, Judikins-Metallic Copper embossing powder, ProvoCraft decorative scissors, black pop dots.

This is my last post til Sunday or Monday, everybody have a great weekend, our hamburger-hot dog back to school bash is Sat.

Butterfly Page

2 Challenges:
Color Chef Challenge #17--http://kjsstamppad.blogspot.com
was to use vineyard berry, cocoa, colonial white. Just so
happened I had some. I used cocoa direct to paper
around the edges, so it makes it look extra dark, but I
think went really well with this stamp.

Z is for...Zero Embellishments--http://abc-challenge.blogspot.com
I've had this stamp for a long time. I have quite a variety of stamps
ranging from cute to artsy. This was one of my artsy day purchases.
It went perfect with this challenge because it can stand alone like
this or a real arty person could really jazz it up. I used my water
brush, my water color stack, and CTMH markers, a sponge, and
fingers to really give this a going over after I stamped it with
Vibrance Brown, VersaMark Ink, and clear embossing powder.

Supplies: Card Blank 5" X 61/2" Colonial White Value Pack Hobby Lobby, CTMH-vineyard berry, colonial white card stock, Stamp: Stamps Happen, Inc.-90240 Page About Butterflies, Ink: Vibrance-Brown, VersaMark Ink Pad,clear embossing powder-Jo-Ann's, water color stack, Stampin Up marker-soft suede, crushed curry, rich razzleberry, CTMH markers-sunflower, topiary, lilac mist, vineyard berry, pansy purple, smokey plum, parchment, desert sand, chocolate.(no pop dots)

October Party

Good afternoon all. Hot as fire here, but I'm into the fall thing. I found this wonderful quote, just love it, my friend in NY has an Oct. BD, so we'll be sending her grand and glorious birthday wishes. There will be a couple of more summer cards coming, but with school starting soon, it is time to start winding the summer down. You can probably tell I'm not much of a summertime gal.

3 Challenges:
Supplies: Card Bland Ivory 5" X 61/2" Value Pack Hobby Lobby, all patterned paper-Debbie Mumm Harvest & Holiday paper pad-J-Ann's, ribbon-Michael's, computer generated quote-quotegarden.com, sm. heart brads, Stamp: Inkadinkado-97513 Fall Season, Ink: CTMH-Z2123 Goldrush, Elmer's Copper Leafing pen, Spellbinders Nestabilities-Label One, pop dots.

Bird & Bees

Well, I'm taking pictures late at night of dark colors, so you'll have to take my word, this card is very nice in person. Since I was trying to fit in more than one challenge you have to read the inside of the card for the owl and the bees to make sense. I do love the changing of the seasons.
My colors are supposed to be: Blue green, Chocolate, White, gold, Coral.

4 Challenges:

Pink Dot Cupcake

Good news, the refrig was a simple fix, thank goodness. I've been digging around in my card room, rearranging and trying to maximize my storage space and accessability, an on going project in a crafters life. I found that I had some Stampin Up wheels. The background on the card is with a lg. birthday wheel and versamark ink, tone on tone, so you may not be able to see it. The cupcake is stamped on 2 different pieces of scrap paper and pieced, and the patterned paper on the inside is a left over from a 12 X 12 sheet. To bad there's not a total scrap challenge somewhere, this one would fit there.

3 Challenges:
Supplies: Card Blank cut from 7" X 9" piece of card stock then folded in half, all other card stock from my scrap stash, Stampin Up-Birthday Wheel, Spellbinders Nestabilities S4 124 Classic Scallop Circle Lg., Ellison texture plate-Weave #1, Stampin Up Sizzix texture plate-Sm Dots, Ink: Ranger Archival Ink-Jet Black, CTMH-Z2119 Dutch Blue, Vibrance Ink-brown, Stampin Up marker-crushed curry, Sakura Gelly Roll pen-Clear Star, Stamp: Studio G-polka dot cup cake, pop dots.

Splish Splash Birthday

I'm going for 4 with this card. I've had this cute mermaid for a couple of years, she's from http://eurekastamps.com , she's one of the first unmounted stamps I bought. At first I put Alene's Tack-It Over & Over on the backs of my unmounteds, that was a little time consuming and I'm more of an instant girl, I discovered I could put repositionable glue dots on the back and it works just fine with my acrylic blocks. A little explanation--there are some little flowers, a heart, she's for my youngest granddaughters bd, I hope fishy mermaids qualify as animals, and the pearls are pink. I think that covers 4.

4 Challenges:

Supplies: Card Blank White 5" X 7" Value Pack-Hobby Lobby, brown and white card stock-my paper stash, green vellum-Hot Off The Press Paper Pizazz Pastel Vellum, Die Cuts with a View-Pastel Prints mat stack, Xyron 500 sticker machine, Ink: Ranger Archival Ink: Jet Black, Sepia, LuminArte Twinkling H2O's-chiffon pink, natural linen, persimmon, sky blue, blue grass, Stamps: Lg. mermaid-Eureka Stamps, Stamp Tapestry-heart peg, My Sentiments Exactly-Y526 Multi Retro, metallic cord-Michael's, rub-ons-Bazzill White/Gold Leaf, crystal stickers-pearls, Fiskars Cloud 9 Design-rain drops, Sharpie permanent marker-pink to color pearls, CTMH markers-black, chocolate, pop dots.

Now to my card. We were supposed to pick 3 from 6 items and make our card. Well, I had my 3 picks written down when I started and I did look at the list a couple of times, but when I finished my card I realized as usual it kind of had a life of it's own. Sooo--I'm close, but no cigar!
