Sweets from the Patch

Wow, a real project! This is for the Project Tuesday Challenge , a Flower Pot Box, but I've got fall fever so here are some sweets from the patch. Hope you like those ghosty hand drawn faces on the tissue covering the tootsie pops. This was a fun project to start getting my feet wet back in my card room. I've only got 31/2 more afghans to go, I'm sprinting to the finish line.
1 Challenge:
Supplies: Stampin Up: Designer Series Paper Cast A Spell, orange hep cord, Stampin Up: Modern Label punch, Crop-A-Dile, CTMH: gold eyelets, Sizzix: sm. green die-Jack-O-Lantern, CTMH: black marker, tootsie pops, tissue paper, green florist block, orange chenille cord, coffee swizzle stick.

Christmas Afghans

Today I've spent a little bit of time in my card room, but a few of my followers had requested a picture of the Christmas afghans I'm crocheting. I don't think any of the family look at my blog so it won't kill the surprise. Here are 5 samples, very simple patterns, with 8 to 10 skeins I think they make up pretty nice, it was also nice to find a good deal on some of the yarn at Big Lots, who knew, Big Lots would carry crochet/knit thread. The lighting in the picture is kind of yellowish, sorry for that, the colors are beige multi, black and tan, orange chenille, tan chenille, and multi autumn.
Thanks for being interested and viewing all my creative efforts,
Beverly G

Christmas Gifts

I'm busy crocheting my little heart out. It's afghans for family this year. This has been a total personal challenge and a goal set that I think I'm just a couple of weeks from accomplishing. When I finish these there will be very much clapping myself going on here.
Then I will be back in my card room!!!

General Living

I looked at the date of my last post and was shocked. I couldn't believe it has been over 10 days since I was able to be creative in my card room. I talked to one of my followers today and she asked for me to post something, but all I can post today is a little verbiage.
I've spoken many times about general living and my goodness, I've been doing some heavy duty general living. Many responsibilities along with some fun things thrown in, and the holidays are just around the corner. I have an anniversary coming up in a few weeks and my husband always takes off the whole week. He's already given me my great photo light box, so I'm going to have to come up with some good dinners and some special schmoozing.
I looked at The Daily Dare site this afternoon and I see there are 2 new challenges on there, my fingers are burning to pick up some paper, ink, and stamps, and all the little bits and bobs that we all love so much. It is really nice to be loved and needed, but I still have some burning questions?
How do professional artists get to produce such a huge body of work? Who pays their bills? Who grocery shops, cooks, does laundry, cleans house, and don't forget all the small handy person jobs that crop up along the way?
Oh well, some questions are never answered, so I will continue to keep stepping, and slip into my card room maybe sometime this week.
I've missed all your nice comments and look forward to hearing from some of you again.
