This one is a little complicated, so I'm going to kind of tell the process and then I will list the challenges with links to click over and see the rest of the amazing talent that participates in all these challenges.
First, I have to give credit to a phone consult with my friend Linda for some jump start ideas on how to do the detective theme. I've been a fan of Sherlock Holmes since I was a teenager. Basil Rathbone and Nigel Bruce were always the quintessential Holmes and Watson, but I think Downey Jr. and Law are going to be good 21st century replacements.
This started out life as a CD. Lined both sides with upholstery cord. Cut my designer paper to correct circle size. Printed the silhouette from Google images cut in oval. Went around the oval with pinking hearts border punch run through the crimper. Mounted the violin sticker on gold paper and cut around. Stamper the watch on gold paper and embossed with black embossing powder, cut it out. Printed the Holmes banner from PrintMaster 11, cut it out. Printed the sentiment in PrintMaster 11 cut it with oval Coluzzle template, matted it on black oval. Attached a tab to the back of the silhouette covered it with a black oval and attached it to the back of the sentiment, creating my mini flap card, used pop dots to raise it off the surface and mounted the 3 accessories around it. Oh, yes, punched the hole in the CD with a leather punch because it was all to fat to get my crop-a-dile to work. Carefully set the eyelet and threaded the ribbon, tied the loop then tied a bow around that. The little glob you see on the inside is a removeable glue dot to hold the flap closed temporarily for photographing and I forgot to remove it when I took a picture of the inside.
Whew, this is the first CD I've ever altered, hope you like my effort.
