Susan at 52-Card Pickup this week blogged about appreciation, constructive criticism, which my husband is of the opinion there is only criticism either administered with kindness or hatefulness. After he told me that early on in our marriage I decided to go the kindness route, and down through the years I do believe I have a lot more friends than enemies. I do appreciate all the kind criticism I get and have learned to take it much better with maturity. All that being said I made this card for a friend of mine who is going through a hard time right now. She doesn't need any criticism for all the hard decisions she will have to make, but she does need a lot of kindness and compassion to get her through some hard times to come. Even though I can't be with her at this time in person, I hope when she receives this card she'll feel the hug I'm sending along with it.
Whew, that Susan, she does inspire deep thinking.

What great details you've added to this beautiful card, Bev! I love the stitching and the folded corners with the brads and the twine and the colors - totally awesome card! It's a great thing to be so supportive, too. Thanks for another wonderful addition to our challenge, and I hope you know how much I appreciate the time you spend participating each week!
