The Three Muses Altering Mona
Splendiferous Creations Bloggers Challenge Sketch
First, today is special for me. I have reached the 75 Follower mark and while I've been writing this post I see I'm up to 76 followers. Yay! Thanks to all my loyal followers and a big welcome to my new followers. I'm putting together a surprise blog candy package. If you would be interested in receiving a little appreciation package in the mail leave me a comment on this post with a yes to getting in the draw for Surprise Candy. All names will go in Hubby's Top Hat and he will do the draw next Saturday Morning, so check back Saturday Evening for the Winner announcement.
I have this card for you today in the semi-style of Peter Max. For you youngsters, he is a very famous artist from the 60's and 70's. He's always been a favorite of mine. I love his bright colors and happy style.
The Three Muses wanted us to alter Mona, but do you know Mona has been altered about every way Mona could possibly be altered. Mona like most classics for me is something I can't hardly bring myself to write on or tear up, so I worked around her and tried to play up her smile.
Lisa's wonderful sketch worked really well for me with this creation, and I tried not to stray very far from the original sketch design.
Thanks girls for two great challenges. Hop over and check them out if you don't already play there.
