Starry Starry Night

Take A Word     TAWC#32-Stars

This is the second 2 page spread that I have created in my Wonderful Words Art Journal. Art Journaling is a new venture for me and I'm going to continue to hang onto the idea that there is no right or wrong in this adventure, just fun.
When I read the prompt at Take A Word the song Starry, Starry Night came into my mind. Since I'm not musically well versed I Googled the words Starry, Starry Night and discovered that Don McLean wrote the song after he had read a biography of Vincient Van Gogh. It just so happens there are several of Van Gogh's painting that I love and Starry Night is one of them. My 2 pages are certainly no Starry Night like Van Gogh's, but I did take some elements from the painting, such as the swirls and some of the colors. I was going for a cosmos kind of feel.
I used 3 different stamp sets, water soluble wax pastels, Claudine Hellmoth paints, gesso, and multi-medium(love that stuff), and some acrylic metallic pearl white paint for just a little bit of sheen.
I must come back to earth now and get on with the rest of my day.

Thanks for visiting and viewing,
Beverly G ♥

Thanks for the lesson on the song--I love that song too but never knew the Van Gogh connection; great research!
