Beaches

Take A Word     TAW#35-Beach

My art journal is certainly not for the purists in the field, but since it's mine I'm just experimenting like crazy.
For the sand on this page I used some stuff called Blended Fibers by Liquitex. I had already painted the beach with traditional tan Claudine Hellmuth paint, but I wanted more sandy texture, so with a palette knife straight from the jar I started smoothing the blended fiber on and it mixed with the damp paint wonderfully. I've got a Google free image on here and then I finished the page off with some shells imbedded in the texture and part of an Art Gone Wild Simple Circles stamp set on a free Google clam shell image.
It feels kind of breezy, hot, and maybe a little squall might be moving in so we might need to retreat to that bungalow in the background.

Thanks for visiting and viewing,
Beverly G ♥

Oh, didn't see the little house in the background at first, but glad to know it's there in case of that squall.

Lovely card.
