Merry Mousie

Bah! Humbug!     Challenge 27...Meeces
Jingle Belles     JB28-Holiday Leftovers

I didn't think I'd get a card made for these two challenges, but today was a day on the phone and waiting for an inspector to approve the bathroom remodel.
Plenty of time to cut and paste. Smilin' Stef from Ingenious Inkling inspired me with her bargello work and she even gave us a link to her great tutorial on the technique. I always say I'm not a puzzle person and this was kind of like a puzzle. Once, I had chosen my papers however and followed Stef's tutorial it all fell right into place. I don't think my left end is exactly right, but I like the way the strip of Ho's are in a line.
I found these cute mice on free Google images, printed them on card stock, cut them out, popped them up, added the bows with glue dots, popped up the sentiment and I've got a pretty cute Christmas card.
All those strips of paper are scraps from my K&Co Let It Snow paper pack when I made candy bar gift card holders for family Christmas presents last year. I already have my idea for this year's presents and it's hard to believe I need to start working on them in the next few weeks. 25 of something you don't want to wait til the last minute ;-)

Thanks for visiting and viewing,
Beverly G ♥

I am inspired by Stef's card too. I saw the Bargello technique 10 or so years ago and wanted to try it, but I never have! You did a marvelous job! Your card is really pretty. I look forward to seeing your 25 gifts for christmas 2011!

Just got back from holiday and am catching up on everything that's been happening at Bah! Humbug! Don't want to miss out on any of the stunning cards that have been entered while I've been away.
I've not heard of this technique before either - I like it though and perhaps should giv3e it a go. Love your card.
