Steampunk Journey

Studio L3     GM#14-Tim's March 2008 Technique Challenge
Gingersnap Creations     GC109: Chestnut Theme Challenge-On The Road (Steampunk)

Linda from Studio L3 picked another super challenge this week. Tim's March 2008 Technique Challenge teaches us how to mix up scrumptious sprays with distress inks and perfect pearls. Stamping with the white paint dabber creates a ghosting resist effect. Pretty cool.
I got the bottom right corner of the tag to dark, well, you know how it is trying out a new technique to you, live and learn. That being said the quote that I stamped on top of the image is from Leonardo da Vinci--For once you have tasted flight you will walk the earth with you eyes turned skywards, for there you have been and there you will long to return.
Hence, the flying dirigible for On The Road challenge at Gingersnap Creations. Well, I'm going to fly over the road this week.  The month of July we're traveling with a Steampunk Theme.

Supplies: Black Card Blank 5" X 6 1/2" Halcraft, Papers: SU-brushed silver, Ranger Manilla card stock, Marco's Paper-copper card stock, Stamps: Scrolls Work Rubber Stamps, Artful Inkables-Steampunk Sarah, Ink: Distress Inks-broken china, walnut stain, spiced marmalade, fired brick, Ranger Archival Ink-Jet Black, Adirondack Paint Dabber-Snow Cap, Perfect Pearls-Heirloom Gold, Perfect Copper, Forever Red, Blue Patina, Craf-T Products Metallic Rub-Ons, Elmer's Copper Leafing Pen, Spellbinders Nestabilities-Labels Twenty-One, Cuttlebug embossing folder-Clockworks, SU-ticket punch, silver metallic dots painted copper, Tim Holtz idea-ology game spinners, The Paper Studio-tiny heart brad, SU dimensionals.
