Sunny Days

This is the card I made for my Rogue Crew Member post at Rogue Redhead Designs today.
We are in the hot days of summer where I live so we are getting lots of sunshine.
Several things came together for this card at about the same time. I used this sketch from Less Is More, found a package of bottle caps and this yellow dot ribbon on the back of my work table. A little light bulb clicked on and I reached for the sun stamp from the Floriculture stamp set.
I used VersaMark ink with Crushed Curry ink to stamp the image and heat embossed it with clear embossing powder (3 times), punched out with a 1 1/4" circle punch, sponged the edges and they fit perfect in the bottle caps. I didn't smash the caps because I liked the flare to reflect the suns rays.
I ran the white card stock through the Swiss Dot embossing folder to match the dot ribbon. I put a magnet on the back of the bottle caps and attached them temporarily to the card so they could later be used on the refrig. I know there are still some die hard refrig magnet collectors out there. What could be better, a card and a small gift in one.
There is lots of exciting stuff going on over at Rogue Redhead Designs. The stamps are now available at Stamp Diva and will soon be carried by a company in the UK, when I get their info I will post it.
Shar has been designing diligently, so I bet there are going to be some new surprises revealed later on this summer. You'll want to think about becoming a follower so you don't miss out on any of the wonderful creations posted by our very talented Rogue Crew Members.

Thanks for visiting and viewing,
