Gingerbread Kids

Try Stampin' On Tuesday     Challenge #44-Sketch
The Order of the Opus Gluei     Challenge #119-Gingerbread
Yum, can't you just smell the gingerbread fumes coming from the kitchen. Not this year, only on paper. Most of the girls at Opus Gluei don't even like gingerbread, but gingerbread kids and gingerbread houses have always been a part of our Christmas and they are just as cute as can be.
I got into my scrap stash for this one and you can't see it in the photo, but I got out my Souffle pens for the cheeks and the white frosting. I paper pieced the girls dress to keep in the polka dot theme, my diagonal bows are a little challenged. I may have to add some strategically placed glue dots later so it can go in the mail.

Happy Christmas preparations.

Merry Christmas, dear Beverly! I always know when your name pops up as a participant that I'm going to see something that will make me ooh and aaahhh. And this is no exception! I love your little gingerbread kids (btw, how crazy is it that only two of the poobahs - me included - love gingerbread?). The brad "red hots" are an adorable touch and the dimensional ink is perfect, I used the enamel dimensional stuff for the icing on mine! (Great minds think alike)I also think that patterned paper is great for the card as it really picks up the candy/gingerbread colors but also adds a really happy feel to the card.

Thank you so much for playing with us at Opus Gluei!
