Owl Love You

Tuesday Morning Sketches     TMS#113-Sketch
The Order of the Opus Gluei     Challenge #114-Owl Always Love You
This has been one of my favorite stamp sets ever since I found Gina K Designs. So when The Order of the Opus Gluei called for Owl Always Love You, this was the set I had to pull out. It even has the exact sentiment to go along.
Then, we have the sketch from Tuesday Morning Sketches. This cute pair fit just perfect in this oval for the focal point of the sketch.
Since my hubby and I just celebrated our 43rd these 2 are kind of like us two chubby buddy sweethearts.

Dumbledore

Forever Night     Freaky Friday Challenge 310-World of Hogwarts
The Paper Players    Challenge #65-Anne Marie's Sketch

Well, I'm finally getting to post this card. I made it yesterday morning, but with all the general living and car maintenance needing to be done I'm just now getting back into my studio.
Dumbledore is a digi from Bugaboo Stamps, and my friend who has read all the Potter books and is a big fan looked up this quote for me and I created it on the computer to fit the Modern Label punch. I printed Dumbledore on Peach Parfait card stock and colored the rest of him with Stampin Up markers, a white gel pen, and Spica Glitter pens. Spiders, cats, and a tiny bat finish this off for a Hogwarts look.

Supplies: Ivory Card Blank 4" X 5 1/2" Halcraft, Papers: SU-Peach Parfait, Dusty Durango, Designer Series Paper Frightful Sight, Stamps: Bugaboo Stamps-Dumbledore digi, Ink: Ranger Archival Ink-Jet Black, Sakura Gelly Roll Pen-White, SU markers-Sahara Sand, Basic Black, Basic Gray, Spica Glitter pens-clear, gold, turquoise, olive,Tim Holtz distress tool, Fiskars shaper cutter template-Circles-1, SU-Modern Label punch, The Paper Studio Spare Parts-tiny silver brads, SU dimensionals.

Snow Hugs Gift

Rogue Redhead Designs     Design Team Post

Good Tuesday Morning!
Even though Fall is in the air, I decided to make a Christmas card today with a little surprise inside, just a bit of a jump start on some Christmas gifts.  I say a Christmas card, with this charming couple on the front it could also be an anniversary card for people who got married in December.
The stamp set is called Snow Hugs.
This is a 4 1/4" square card so it will fit inside a 4 1/2" X 5 1/2" envelop and you won't have to pay extra postage for a square envelop. I didn't think that up on my own. I was surfing around the other day and was bad again and didn't write down who gave that tip, but thank you if you read this.
To make the inside gift card holder, cut a piece of 4" X 12" card stock, score at 4", 6", 8", the 4" and 8" are valley folds the 6" is a mountain fold. Cut a slit in the mountain fold to hold the gift card, tape the bottom of the mountain together, this creates the pop up gift card holder when the card front is attached.
There are 8 stamps, 1 background, and 3 sentiment stamps in this set, so you too could get a jump start on some of your gift giving needs for the holidays.

Supplies: Papers: SU-Baja Breeze, Stamps: Rogue Redhead Designs-Snow Hugs, Ink: VersaMark, Sharpie Paint Pen-silver, CTMH silver embossing powder, Craf-T Products-metallic rub-ons, Cuttlebug embossing folder-Snowflakes, SU-Vanilla Smooch Spritz, The Paper Studio Spare Parts-brad, ribbon-Offray, SU dimensionals.

Clean and Simple cards are great fun. With some thought, ink, and stamps you can create just as dynamic a card as you do with a lot of supplies.
Take for instance: a punched or cut out 2 1/4" square mask, some sponge daubers, 3 shades of pink, one stamp set, and a couple of markers, you've got yourself a very attractive Love You card.

This Peach Parfait  paper and Rich Razzleberry ink went together with Old Olive ink and a green Sharpie pen to color the rhinestones with just a touch of gold made a pretty fall combo. (Can't do without my Sharpie pens ;-)

Witch Candy?

DYSU Challenge Blog     DYSU#38-Duo
{Freshly Made} Sketches     FMS #3-Sketch

I'm closing down for tonight with news--I got published again in Vamp Stamp News Oct 2011 Volume 19 #10. Yes, it's the Halloween issue, my Halloween card made the back cover. Lots of great articles and fellow artists with some great cards and projects.
DYSU is having a design team call also, so I'm entering the card above. They already have some wonderful entries so I don't think I'll make it on this team, but you never know unless you try.
Since Halloween is a favorite holiday of mine, I consider my Halloween cards some of the best I create. This stamp is another new addition to my stash and a friend of mine gifted me the oh so cute bat border punch.
I embossed the pumpkins with Tangerine Tango on black card stock, and colored these cute legs with SU markers and blender pen.
The 2nd sketch at Freshly Made Sketches was supposed to be square and I didn't full fill that part last time so strangely(and isn't that so Halloween) this time I've a square card for them ;-)
Supplies: 5 1/2" square card blank, Papers: SU-Peach Parfait, Basic Black, Confetti White, Designer Series Paper Frightful Sight, Stamps: Stampabilities-Dotted Circles, Northwoods Rubber Stamps, Inc., Little Yellow Bicycle-HW-210, SU-Fang-tastic, Ink: VersaMark, SU-Tangerine Tango, Ranger Archival Ink-Jet Black, SU markers-blender pen, Blushing Bride, Sahara Sand, Dusty Durango, Early Expresso, Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral, Concord Crush, Basic Gray, Wisteria Wonder,Peach Parfait, Daffodil Delight, SU-Tangerine Tango embossing powder, Fiskar bat border punch, SU dimensionals.

This week at Tuesday Morning Sketches is a judged challenge and at City Crafter we're to make a card with hearts on the front. I most always finish the inside of my cards I just don't always take a picture. It's easier to finish the whole card at the time I'm making it then I can either send it off to From Our Hearts or submit them for publication.
We're finally getting some rain this evening, such a blessed relief.

Lots of Heart

ATC Challenge Blog     10th Challenge-Anything Goes or Something that represents you
Quirky Crafts Challenge Blog     Challenge 19-2011-ABC (Anything But a Card)

When I talk about something that represents me I have to use hearts. Not only do I collect hearts of all kinds, but I consider myself a woman of great heart. I've been to some mountain tops and through some valleys of darkness in my 62 years and I'm still steppin' and loving life.
I used a white textured ATC and some red handmade silk paper from Marco's Papers on this little piece of art.
A word to the wise, when attaching silk paper, don't use a tape runner, I used Scor-Tape to attach this piece after a sticky learning experience.
Hope you all have a wonderful weekend filled with Love!

Pumpkin Stack

CAS-ual Fridays     CFC19: Use paper piecing on you Fall Themed Clean and Simple project

Fall is my favorite time of year and even though we've only had a few days in the 80's I always get in a Fall mood as my anniversary 9-24 approaches. My husband and I got married in Norfolk, VA and it just so happens that the weather that year was just as hot as it is this year, but in VA the leaves were already starting to turn. We didn't have a car then and my bus rides and walks to the library are some very fond memories.
This wonderful pumpkin stack is stamped on the card then on different pattern papers, cut out, inked around the edges of each piece and glued on. I added the green at the bottom so they wouldn't be floating, some very light splots, and my handwriting sentiment.
Clean, simple, and fun.

Supplies: Ivory Card Blank 4" X 5 1/2" Halcraft, Papers: SU-Designer Series Prints Pumpkin Pie, Specialty Designer Series Paper Autumn Spice, Stamps: Northwoods Rubber Stamps, Inc-Pumpkin Stack, SU-Itty Bitty Backgrounds, Ink: SU-Old Olive, Early Expresso, SU markers-Old Olive, Early Expresso, glue pen.

Warm Wishes ATC

A Great Good Tuesday Morning Everyone!
Rogue Redhead Designs is having Rebel Challenge #3-Think Outside the ATC.
I've been dabbling a bit with ATC's lately so this was a perfect opportunity for me to create (I hope) a little bit of inspiration for you to join in on the challenge. We are to create an ATC with something hanging off the sides or sides.
These images in the new Beach Babes stamp set remind me of vintage postcards and tin type photos. Most of the tin type photos I remember in our old albums are in sepias.
I used Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, and Sepia ink with the wonderful background stamp in this set to create the worn look around the edges, with the little heart brad and starfish charm attaching the sentiment just off the edge.
I'd love for you all to come over and join in on the challenge. You've got til Oct. 9th with the winner be announced on Oct. 12th. You don't have to use Rogue Redhead stamps, but if you have them be sure to show us you wonderful ATC's, and then whoever wins will either add to their stash or be the proud owner of some very versatile stamps. Good Luck to all who come and participate!

Supplies: ATC 2 1/2" X 3 1/2", Paper: SU-Naturals Ivory, Stamps: Rogue Redhead Designs-Beach Babes, Inks: SU-Crumb Cake, Soft Suede, Ranger Archival Ink-Sepia, SU-Decorative Label punch, Sm. Circle punch, The Paper Studio Spare Parts-mini heart brad, K&C0.-star fish charm, Scor-Tape.
