Rogue Redhead Designs Challenge #10-Spring Fashion Colors
Getting a very late start today--all excuses aside--I've got a pretty spring card for you today. Yes, spring has sprung where I live. All the flowers are blooming, we even had a barn swallow couple building a nest on the inside of our front porch, alas, the nest wasn't anchored good enough and it fell down. They'll have to begin again next year.
Challenge #10 is up and running over at Rogue Redhead Designs and we'd love for you all to come over and have some fun. It's all about the Spring Fashion Colors.
I've chosen to go with the pastel colors on the chart and I've used Stampin' Up colors, ribbon, and Smooch. I also used the Spellbinder Scallop Ovals dies.
A Daffodil Delight card base and a mat of Certainly Celery with tiny white stripes which I corner rounded and sponged around the edge with Certainly Celery ink. I attached the cool pleated ribbon with Scor-Tape, then proceeded on to stamping.
I first sprayed a piece of Blushing Bride card stock with Blushing Bride Smooch and then stamped the flowers with Basic Grey ink from the Floriculture stamp set. This kept things subtle so nothing would overwhelm the spring colors. I did the same thing with the sentiment, which is from the Bits and Pieces stamp set.
I sponged around the edges of the Wisteria Wonder Ovals with Wisteria Wonder ink for just a bit of a pop, and attached them with dimensionals.
The challenge runs until May 7th so you've all got plenty of time to come over and join in on the fun and prizes. The colors are yummy so I expect to some really great creations.
