Art With No Boundaries Anything Goes and Asian Inspired
Welcome to the second half of September challenges at Art With No Boundaries. The team has created some wonderful projects to inspire you this time around. I know a lot of you out there do Asian themed cards and projects. I personally don't do very many Asian projects. I don't really know why. My Dad was stationed in Japan when I was 2 years old and he brought back a lot of wonderful art from there. It hung on our homes walls most of my growing up years.
So with those memories and the Hinata/Sunflower digi image I chose to create this art canvas with red, gold, and black for a very dramatic piece, but some of my team mates have used cherry blossoms and a more spring like palette.
Whatever you choose to create for our challenge in the next 2 weeks we look forward to checking out your blogs and be sure to enter BR after your name if your project is Asian Inspired so that you will be eligible for the prize. You know there is always a prize and who doesn't like to win something.
I hope you click on the link above and check out the rest of the teams creations. My team mate Bonnie has started writing the descriptions for our projects and she has done a bang up job. She has a wonderful style all her own and it comes out in her writing skills as well.
I'm looking forward to seeing what the rest of you create. I'm sure I'll find some inspiration in the next 2 weeks. Don't forget if you need some great Asian digi images to create your project hop over to CS Designs and you'll find exactly what you need.
Happy Creating--

It's easy to write lovely things about a project like this. I am smitten :) with the dramatic colour scheme you have used. The textures and contrast of the papers are wonderful and showcase Hinata beautifully. I especially love the black cord, tassel, and coin. They draw the eye right to the beautiful image.
Thanks for the words of encouragement about the captions I wrote. I really appreciate them.
Stunning artwork, love that image and the texture and colour of the background make it so rich with those fab embellies

Your art canvas looks stunning and I like that you added the flowers to the side of the image! Just love working with an asian theme!

Love the background you created with all the different papers (and the diagonal direction is wonderful) and that tassle is awesome!
I love the textures and the bold colors! Absolutely gorgeous!
