i am the diva, CZT Weekly Challenge #233

i am the diva, CZT    Weekly Challenge #233-"New Offical Tangle" Zenith

Laura is back from her summer hiatus. Welcome back Laura. She has some wonderful pics from her time off with her family and friends. I have to say I did enjoy all the Guest Bloggers she had to fill in for her.
To explain this tile I must start by saying I usually play at Tickled To Tangle, I missed the last 2 weeks. When I was checking on challenges I discovered that last week Adele used String 111 and the theme was to celebrate the 76 yrs of the Wizard of Oz movie with the yellow brick road. One of the tangles she suggested to use was Zenith.
Laura's challenge this week is to use the "New Offical Tangle" Zenith. After I had practiced that tangle a bit I decided to use String 111 to enter in Laura's challenge this week.
I water colored what I saw as the road with Zig Clean Color Brush Markers: Yellow and Mustard. I thought somehow the Emerald City needs to get on here somehow. I made some water dots with a water brush pen and used my new Derwent Graphik Line Painter pens in Lime Green and Turquoise, they named them #10 Billy and #13 Envy. I've watched a couple of YouTube videos on these being used. I told my husband if he squinted he maybe could imagine the lights from the Emerald City sparkling. He never seemed quite receptive to that idea but I carried on anyway. I decided the tile needed a bit more so I added the swirls with little flashes coming out all around. After I added the bricks to the middle of Zenith I decided they needed a bit of shading with a PrismaColor yellow pencil.
I have a partial list of challenges in a book I keep on my work table, maybe I'll be able to keep track  of things a bit better now.
I'm heading over to enter and I hope you'll give this challenge a go if you are interested in Zentangle.

Happy Creating--

I like your Wizard of Oz tile and the way you talked us through the process. It's good to see how different people develop their work.
