The Bright Owl #110

The Bright Owl    Zendala Dare #110

Not much studio time this week. These two Zendala tiles I got done in the evenings on the couch between school projects.
I actually kept track of the tangles I used this week. One the first tile, a 3 1/2" square you will find Web, Strike, Bilt, archer, and Arrowheads, in some form or another. I liked the black and white on this one.
When I started the round Zendala tile I found myself using some more organic tangles that I haven't used before. The more it developed the more the word color kept coming into my mind, so I broke out my Copic markers and gave this one some color. The tangles I used are: Diamond Drops, Octonet, Euca Wavez, and Flowtus, again in one form or another.
I'm always so glad I found Zentangle at the time in my life when I did. I must confess I'm a self taught Zentangler so I may not always be spot on, but I always hang on to the there are no mistakes in Zentangle. This art form has saved my sanity many a day when I needed something not to taxing but still creative.
At some point in time I would like to take a class from a Certified Zentangle Instructor, but so far I haven't researched in depth where one might be near me. Soon, I will do that Soon.
Hope everyone else has had better luck with studio time this week.

Happy Creating--

They are adorable. Lines and colours... everything. :)

I like both, especially the contrast in the first one.

Lovely Zendalas. I am drawn to the crispness of the first one, but being a Copic artist myself, I also love the beautifully colored one!
